It would be very useful to have a plugin or feature that tracks the time spent speaking during an OBS recording session.
The problem:
Raw recordings often include long periods of silence. However, when editing, most creators cut out the parts where nothing is being said. This makes the actual "talking time" significantly shorter than the full recording duration.

Why this would help:
Many content creators could benefit from a tool that:
- Helps estimate how much of a recording will make it into the final cut.
- Provides insight into speaking habits and pacing.
- Improves planning and productivity by measuring actual active time.
What this feature could look like:
- The plugin would monitor microphone input volume.
- It would only count time when the volume is above a configurable threshold (e.g., -40 dB).
- The timer would pause automatically during silence.
- The total speaking time could be displayed in a dock, or shown as an optional overlay.
- It could be enabled during recording, streaming, or both.
