Can't record games in a specific drive

I recently tried recording with game capture and window capture but realized any game I tried recording on my C: drive SSD would just get stuck on the frame it was on when I load it on the capture. The sound would get caught but the frame was frozen. This doesn't happen with games installed on my D: drive HDD so I wanted to know if there was any solution other than moving all my games.
