Hi - new to this entire field.
I have a single camera setup - I am testing a 4k guermok capture card vs ATEM Mini Pro ISO. Both running to MAC via USB-C.
two questions
1 - When i test each as Video capture device the ATEM is clear and closer up, the capture card is blurry and stretched out. What can I change in OBS or is this expected? Both have identical settings in OBS - 1920x1080 for each. is it because ATEM is 1080p only and Capture Card is 4k - and it's not scaling down properly? I don't know the vocabulary yet for this stuff. I dont need 4k. Just not sure if the ATEM will produce better quality output in this scenario. Ideally I would like the $20 capture card to work.
2 - any way to improve the latency for both setups? Its an older camera - Canon 5D Mark III - running HDMI mini to HDMI for both
Capture Card - HDMI to USB-C
ATEM - HDMI input 1 and USB-C out to MAC
