Dual-PC setup for streaming

Hi, I'm about to purchase a linux laptop without discrete graphics for work and I'm wondering if there is any way I can use it to squeeze some extra performance out of my gaming PC which run Windows with a 3080Ti. This PC doesn't have great thermals and I just want to know if the laptop can take some of the burden off the PC to do the encoding and streaming ...or just streaming if that would make a difference.

Another question. Would a MacBook be a better option for a dual-pc setup? I'm reluctant to get a windows laptop because I want my gaming PC to be my last windows machine and I also would like good battery life.
