Hey everyone,
So, I teach guitar online! I use Zoom to stream to my students and I use OBS for different camera angles, switching scenes etc. OBS is linked using the virtual camera method.
I'm running my mic and guitar into an audio mixer and then into an audio interface. The input and output on Zoom are both set to that interface.
I'd really like to be able to share video with audio and/or just audio with my students! That way I could demonstrate something on the guitar with either an audio track or video with audio playing in the background.
So far I have managed to share the video by adding a Display capture to my scene (that way whatever I drag in to that particular monitor, will show in my scene. But there's no audio for the student!
I tried adding audio output capture to the scene, but I guess that wasn't the solution because it's still not working either! It was the same, with video but no audio for the recipient.
I'm open to any methods you guys might have for me to be able to share audio (via Spotify or YouTube) at the very least with my students.
Please help! I'm becoming beyond frustrated by this. I was previously using Skype, and it seemed to do this no problem! Why is it not working with Zoom? I'd switch back, but the "live performance audio" feature is great for playing instruments.
Thanks in advance! I look forward to some solutions!
