How can i add two independent sources from the same file?

I want to add fx. an image source for a chat border, this chat border varies in dimensions in my different scenes, so i need to change them, but whenever i edit it in one scene it transfers the edits to every other scene with that image, even if its two separate sources of the image.
I've done the following, none of them worked:
Copy - Paste (Duplicate)
Add source with different name
Add existing source

I think you may have done something incorrectly, if you add a new image source and select the same file it is totally independent from the other source. For example:
